Run On Sentences  | rock music for RUNNERS

"Run On Sentences" is rock music composed by a runner for runners.  Road-tested, treadmill-tested, race-tested, and RUNNER-approved.  It is composed at tempos (BPM - beats per minute) that will match your running cadence.

By matching your running cadence, the music helps you in several ways.
  • Makes it easier to stay focused during your long tempo runs.
  • Provides an ideal target cadence for your speed and interval training.
  • Keeps you on YOUR pace during races (rather than running the pace of the pack).

Confused about BPM?  What's my cadence?
Count how many times your right foot lands on the ground in one minute and double that number, this is your cadence in strides or beats per minute.  Running cadences usually vary between 150 and 190 beats per minute.  Experts like Jack Daniels, PhD (dubbed "The World's Best Running Coach" by Runner's World and author of Daniels' Running Formula) recommend that runners shorten their stride length and adopt 180 bpm or higher cadences.  Runners of all levels can apply some effort to master their cadence and see the benefits in performance and a reduced risk of injury.

So... 1) know your cadence 2) get the music playing that matches your cadence, and 3) RUN ON!
